ODBD Mar 1 Release Blog Hop!

Daffodil-Gift-set-card

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs Mar. 1 Release Blog Hop! If you got here from Chris' fabulous blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog and hop from there!

The Hop will run from 8am EST Mar. 1 until 8pm EST. Mar. 2. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Thurs. Mar 3.

This month, there will be Three prizes of a Flower Corner and Tag Set, and one grand prize of a Bread Basket Bundle! WooHoo!

Here is what you need to do to be entered in the drawing:

* Leave comments for each designer on each blog
* Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop and noting any blogs you were unable to comment on.
* Answer the question on the ODBD blog

I do want to remind you that March 17th is Our Daily Bread design's Third Anniversary! We have MANY fun activities lined up, and ALL our teams will be participating! There will be special challenges, some lasting all month, some for 2 weeks, and some just for one week! There will be a BLOG HOP on the 17th and 18th to reveal the new Anniversary Sets! These are always HUGE sellers, so you don't want to miss this! There will be MANY chances to win free sets! Be sure to check out the ODBD blog for the dates of all the festivities and chances to win prizes!!!(Lots of prizes!!!!)

For my card today I used the Daffodil Corner and stamped twice with Memento ink and colored with Copics. I cut them out and stamped the verse from the Daffodil Tag set onto my designer paper, then made a free form frame around it. I cut out any dp that extended beyond the frame so the daffodils completely frame it. I added Yellow Spica glitter pen and Stickles to the centers of the daffodils. The base is DCWV Linen Close, as is the plaid, and the green is Papertrey Spring Moss, as is the ribbon. The punch is by March Stewart. It's hard to see but I have added tiny pearls to the punched holes.

Daffodil-Gift-set

I decided to make a matching box and use the Daffodil Tag set. I thought this would be perfect for my DMIL for Easter. I will put some special goodies that she loves in this box. The directions for this were found on SCS and adapted to the size I wanted. For this I stamped the tag on the blue DCWV, then three times on white and colored and cut out elements of the daffodils to form a frame on the tag. It's a simple box but a pretty presentation and oh so easy to do!!! If you don't have any of the ODBD Tags, or the matching die, you should consider getting them, as they have so many different uses! Here's the top of the box... sorry about the poor lighting. There is a real sparkle that you can't see.

Several challenges were included in my projects today:

I was inspired by the yellow color in this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger... and the vase of flowers on the table.
