Great is Thy Faithfulness!

Happy Sunday everyone! With Sunday comes another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge! This week our challenge hostess is the sweet and wonderful Rebekka! She has chosen Gen 1:1 for this week's Scripture:

"In The Beginning GOD Created The Heavens and The Earth"

Becky's challenge is to create a nature card or project, using anything pertaining to nature, birds, trees, flowers, mountains, the sky is the limit.

Isn't fall a beautiful time of year? I think in many ways it's my most favorite season! Living in the southeast US, summers are terribly hot and humid, and when the air starts to cool, and the trees start to turn color, I feel refreshed and invigorated. I love to open the windows at night and enjoy the cooler fresh air. Beautiful fall colors and scents start to invade the forests and the mountains become a beautiful palette of color. It is during the fall that my hubby and I love to "escape" for a weekend to the beautiful mountains to soak in all their glory. I think these times are spiritually refreshing as well, because we can't help seeing HIS GLORY in all the beauty of nature! Ps. 19:1 says "The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands." I can't look at all the beauty around me, and think of all the order in it all without knowing that it is the work of an all powerful, all knowing, incredibly creative God! Just the predictability of the seasons alone is evidence of an intelligent creator! What tells the leaves it's time to change color, and what determines that they will fall at just the same time each year? What is going on inside that tree to prepare the new life of spring to burst forth? It's a predictable thing every year.... to everything there is a season! How could all this be true without the order of our Creator? In Romans 1:20 we read "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse". There is evidence all around us of the Creator God! Even if we did not have His Word to help us understand, we can see enough evidence of His existence just from His creation! Let's meditate on that this fall as we enjoy all the beauty of the season!

I was wanting to play along with this week's Moxie Fab Trigger and found my color inspiration from this picture:
Aren't these colors yummy? The rich browns and golds are what drew me in. Being a quilter I just loved this trigger! Wish I had time to quilt a card but using the colors as my inspiration, this is what I came up with.

I used this month's brand new releases from Our Daily Bread designs, Randi's Song and wood background stamp. I stamped the words from Ecc.3:1-8 with Versafine on vanilla, then placed the excurp from the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" in front of that. The leaves are also from that set and are two step stamps, one with the veins and one with the basic colors. I used Ancient Page Petal Point to ink them. So easy and fun to stamp! These are so easy to cut out I decided to layer them around my focal point. The ribbon is May Arts faux suede and the pearls are ZVA Creative in taupe. I used an EK Success edge punch down the right side. The layers are Bazzill. The wood background is stamped with Memento on SU! Soft Suede. LOVE this backgrounder!!! I did a little piercing around my Scripture panel and some distressing on the gold (The Paper Studio) matting.

Our sponsor this week is Nina Brackett!!! Thank you Nina!!! I love your sets!!! Be sure to check out the Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog for all the details and to see the GORGEOUS set Nina is donating!

Dear Grace,

This is you in your finest. I love when you make incredible art with Scripture as the mail focus.

The colors are wonderful. I love the "wood" back ground, and the leaves are so pretty! The bow looks wonderful.

All of this fits on one card? Hard to imagine! I love that acorn charm, and the metal colored pearls, too.

Just wonderful in word alone...and in art alone...put them together like this and ....WOW!!!!!!

He IS Able,
Traci S.
